We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Compliance Manager based in the greater Los Angeles or Sacramento, CA area to cover the West Coast.

In this vital position, you will be responsible to lead a key stage of the Market Development process successfully navigating the challenges inherent with the permitting process within municipalities to convince, convert and gain approval for the installation of EGD security solutions. This includes meeting with local and state government representatives to educate them on EGD and demonstrating to them that the solutions are safe for use in their jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will be an extreme self-starter, can use the appropriate technique to relate to, build rapport with and ultimately gain approval from the local authority having jurisdiction.  This position reports directly to the CFO.
Candidates that do well in this role are those with experience in cell tower leasing, electrical charging station placement, site procurement or upfitting through zoning and permitting a project.
Requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of experience selling products/services to state and/or local government officials
  • Experience in working with varying levels of municipal code enforcement or regulatory policy personnel
  • Strong sales skills to overcome obstacles
  • Experience working with long sales/project cycles
  • Ability to isolate and break down barriers
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Possess strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to comprehend and explain technical matters to non-technical persons of varying skill levels
  • Serve as expert on matters related to local municipal codes and permitting processes
  • Coordinate with project managers/expeditors to ensure permit packages meet local and statewide municipality requirements
  • Obtain all necessary permitting/zoning approvals from national, statewide, and local agencies
  • Ability to read site plans/drawings
  • Ability to understand and explain technical electrical matters consistent with EGD’s training
  • Availability for up to 75% travel – 2-3 nights of overnight travel per week required
  • Must pass a background check
