We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor for our growing company located in Columbia, SC.

In this key Payroll management role, your primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate and timely completion of the payroll function, including reporting, financial analysis and reconciliations and supervising a payroll team of 3 members.  Your strong attention to detail to identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies along with your effective leadership skills will allow you to shine in this role.
Overview of Duties:
  • Oversee, maintain, and improve the company’s processes, procedures and quality requirements relating to payroll processing and its systems (DarwiNet, Swipeclock, Darwin Upgrades)
  • Timely and accurate production of payroll
  • Promote and develop continuous improvement techniques and practices
  • Supervise 3 employees
Qualifications Include:
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing payroll teams of 3-5 members
  • Strong knowledge of a multi-state payroll environment, including payroll taxes and payroll accounting skills
  • Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture
  • CPP certification or must be willing to get it within one year of employment
  • Expert-level PC/IT skills using a wide variety of software  
  • Experience extracting data and creating reports
  • Well-organized, confident, energetic, and calm under pressure
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking individual with the ability to identify and implement cost savings through continuous process improvement
