We are looking for a seasoned, driven Controller who will report directly to the CEO and play an integral, strategic role in the overall management of all financial aspects in the continued growth of our business.  We need a smart, self-starter who can decipher the vast accounting analytics and financial data to help us grow to the next level.
In this key accounting management role, you will be focused on managing the daily company accounting practices, preparing financial statements, forecasting, driving efficiency through developed processes, providing a continuous process improvement culture throughout all the financial activities, closing books monthly, and supervising an accounting/payroll team of 5-6 members.  Our desire is to find a proven “cost containment” expert – one who can vet new revenue opportunities offering wisdom regarding potential for exponential growth. 
Overview of Duties:
  • Direct and lead all accounting and finance functions, and policies
  • Manage company benefits and retirement plans  
  • Serve as the company compliance officer
  • Other general duties as needed and developed as part of this management position
Qualifications Include:
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience, preferably in a controller role (or similar/more senior role)
  • Management expertise to oversee Accounting, Payroll, and Finance teams
  • Payroll tax experience a strong plus
  • CPA or Certified Management Accountant designations a strong plus
  • Experience with MS Great Plains Software a plus
  • Expert-level PC/IT skills using a wide variety of software  
  • Experience using SQL server database
  • Well-organized, confident, energetic, and calm under pressure
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking individual with the ability to build value into our business, identify and implement cost savings and have the vision to see and assist in the evaluation of business opportunities for expansion
